The International Conference on Informatics in Schools: Situation, Evolution, and Perspective (ISSEP) is an established forum for researchers and practitioners in the area of Computer Science Education with a focus on secondary schools. This year, the 8th edition of the conference will be held in the Faculty of Computer and Information Science, University of Ljubljana, Slovenija.

In particular, the organizers will offer to Slovene, Austrian and Italian teachers the opportunity to meet together and share their experiences, methods, models, teamwork arrangements as well as problems arising while working with pupils of primary and secondary schools in the area of computing and related topics.

The main topics of the conference are:

Submissions

Teachers are invited to submit papers discussing their work and achievements with pupils. The official language is English and the accepted papers will be presented in specific sessions. Submitted papers should not exceed 12 pages (the suggested number of pages is between 6 and 10). Papers format should conform to the instructions provided through the link: ftp://ftp.springer.de/pub/tex/latex/llncs/latex2e/instruct/authors/authors.pdf

Italian teachers can send their papers either to Barbara Demo or to Claudio Mirolo. Austrian teachers should send their papers to Peter Micheuz. Papers from Slovenian teachers should be sent to Mojca Bernik. See contact information below. Accepted papers will be published online.

 

Important dates

Submission deadline: July 15th extended: August 3rd
Author notification: August 24th
Camera ready: September 21th

Registration fees and shedule of the teachers’ sessions will be published through the conference site: http://issep15.fri.uni-lj.si/

(A cheap teacher registration fee will be meant to cover part of the costs of coffee breaks and lunches.)
